Joseph Outreach Ministries

Our founder, Cynthia Williams, birthed this ministry in the midst of the 2014 polar vortex in Chicago, IL. As she looked around and noticed the need for the homeless to be fed and sheltered, she asked the Lord to help them. However, the response she received, was "you help them." Once Cynthia accepted her, "here I am Lord, send me" moment, the rest was history! She gathered her sister and friends and they began to get to work! Desiring to be the difference they wanted to see, Joseph Outreach Ministries was born.

Since then, Joseph Outreach Ministries has shown dignity and love by giving high-quality non-perishable food, personal hygiene products, seasonal items, and a hot meal during the Christmas holiday to the homeless community who affectionately named them “Red Bags! Red Bags!”

​

Although currently feeding the homeless, the ministry is preparing to shift into the next phase of outreach which will provide life skills and job training. The goal of these trainings is to help the homeless re-enter society as well as reveal to them their God-given talents and giftings. Ultimately, Joseph Outreach Ministries will provide affordable and permanent housing to those living in this community.

 

It is our desire, as a result of our services, additional partnerships will be formed to help the homeless. Through these partnerships, more resources will be made available to the homeless by people and ministries in places we can’t reach. Joseph Outreach Ministries.
